Dr. C.J. Bibus – History Department – Spring Finals Schedule 2016

Through 5/06, the schedule will the same as before for classes and office hours.

Beginning in Finals week, WCJC (not your instructor) determines when Finals happen for each course time period and that determines:

·         When you take your Final and when I am at a WCJC location
Note: There are no classes during Finals week.

·         Where it is efficient for me to work. (My computer is much faster than WCJC’s).

Your syllabus states the date and hour of your Final. Look and ask if you have questions. If your work schedule means you have a conflict with the date of your, see me immediately to see if we can schedule you to that the Final at a different time period.

Caution: To stress the statement in the syllabus, if you do not take the Final Exam—even if your average is already a B or an F—I am required to fail you not just for the test, but the whole course.

The current Finals Schedule means that I will only be on campus on these days and locations:

·         Tuesday 5/10 Sugar Land Campus for 2 finals from 8 AM to 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

I will stay on campus until I scan the tests and enter the Final Exam Scores and the Review Quiz Scores. I will not post final letter grades until the next day for reasons that you will understand in class.

·         Wednesday 5/11 Richmond Campus for 2 finals from 8 AM to 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

I will stay on campus until I scan the tests and enter the Final Exam Scores and the Review Quiz Scores. I will not post final letter grades until the next day for reasons that you will understand in class.

If you need to reach me Monday or Thursday, email to bibusc@wcjc.edu. I will be working both those days so I will be checking email.

Caution: Make sure you do what the syllabus says about checking all of your grades on the date specified. If you think I am wrong, bring the evidence. If I am the one who would have the evidence (because it is a paper I keep), I will be hauling all of every class record and I am absolutely fine with our looking through those papers for yours. I do have a way to do it fast while protecting other class members’ privacy.

Caution: Telling me something about a grade being wrong on Friday is too late. The grades will already be “rolled” by the Register’s office into the office record.
