Method of Instruction

This course focuses on what our past shows us about how things work. History is not only interesting, but useful.

This course focuses on evidence and factual accuracy and requires reading the textbook that the History Department selected. It is an honorable, thorough textbook, one worth keeping after you complete the course. The requirements are:

• You do not rely on your memory or searching the Internet.
• You use the textbook as your only source of facts when you write.
  FYI: I use it when I grade your evidence.

• If you need additional resources, you have the Dallas TeleLearning Videos in the course and you have resources built in the course.

The course also provides tools to help save you time in reading. You know at the beginning of each Unit:

• All possible facts you must know for the Unit objective exam on this major time period
• All possible essay questions for the Unit essays exam
