Instructions for the 2 Quizzes So You Can Self-Test What You Know and Don’t Know about Evidence and History
1.
Don’t worry about your grade. Just worry about
measuring your own current knowledge.
Why shouldn’t you worry? These quizzes do not count for points directly. A low
or high score does not matter.
2. After you take these self-tests, you will see in this order:
· A section to help you figure out what you don’t know
o A tutorial made with small self-tests
o Some dictionary terms in class you don’t know a word
o A scan of 4 pages from Diane Hacker’s The Bedford Handbook on the Chicago Manual of Style, the standard for citation in History.
o A very simple version of endnotes for this class so you can cite within Blackboard’s tool for written exam answers.
o A very simple version of endnotes for this class so can cite within a paper submitted in Turnitin – To avoid confusion, this is visible after your 1st Unit Exam.
o A forum on Evidence so you can ask questions and see other students’ questions and answers
· A section where you can retest on the 2 quizzes for points
· A section where you can submit your Personal Responsibility Form for the 5 Good Habits for Evidence
