Background in Product Development - Custom Hardware and in Higher Education

Worked in engineering for 3 years in area specific to the column. Among the jobs was working with plants in their use of power systems and process controls. The work was with chemical process plants and control all of the power phases of the operation of plants.

 

Background in higher education includes teaching mathematics for over 12 years in community colleges. Have been tutoring high school and college students in mathematics for over 20 years. Also have over 20 years in education as a volunteer. Examples include the American Field Service to promote the exchange of learning experiences between students in different nations, the American Association of University Women (including on the local executive board with responsibilities for bringing in speakers for the membership), and as a volunteer in public schools in such areas as AIMS tutoring and literacy programs.
